GE Minutes 4-10-2012

In attendance: LaFaun Barnhurst, Clinton King, Terri Carr,
Joseph Papenfuss, Melanie Jenkins, Patty Meredith (late arrival),
Jeff Carney (chair)

MINUTES

Melanie moved, with Clinton seconding, that the minutes of 3.27 be approved. Melanie, LaFaun, Clinton, Terri, and Jeff voted to approve the motion. Joseph abstained. The motion carried.

COURSE MAPPING

Most of the meeting was devoted to completing the task of mapping GE courses to GE Outcomes. Terri reported that all courses addressing Outcome #1 in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and in American Institutions, will reinforce the Information Technology portion of Outcome #2. Melanie reported that all courses addressing Outcome #1 in Humanities will reinforce the Information Technology portion of
Outcome #2. Patty reported that all appreciation courses addressing Outcome #1 in Fine Arts will reinforce the Information Technology portion of Outcome #2. At this time, the curriculum map is complete and ready to be entered into the TracDat system.
