Title: Level 1 Oral Communication

Prerequisites: Placement in ESL 0270 through the department.

Description: This course is designed to develop novice ESL students' "Basic Interpersonal Communicative Skills" and "Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency." The course focuses on functions and tasks, accuracy, context, content, and text. Students will be able to acquire CEFR Basic (A1-A2 level) vocabulary. This course is cross-listed with CED 0270 (Level 1 Oral Communication – Continuing Education).
