TechConnect: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

TechConnect lets you apply technical education credit toward an associate degree, saving you time and money. Upon completion of your associate degree at Snow, you’ll be able to transfer to any public university in the state.
A technical certificate and/or an AAS degree are wonderful options for students planning to enter the workforce quickly. Students who would like to continue to a bachelor’s degree, even at some time in the future, will be well served by completing an AS degree, which includes all of the general education requirements and prerequisite major courses. TechConnect allows you to use your technical education credits toward the AS.
Snow College is known for our affordability and personal touch. We offer the lowest tuition/fees in the state, and as a TechConnect student, you’ll learn from professors who know your name and care about your success.
Snow College is proud of its 85% student success rate, which means we help students earn their degrees and/or transfer to universities. Our helpful staff and faculty are here to help, every step of the way. Additionally, all our students have access to 24/7 online tutoring, academic advisors, professors whose highest priority is teaching, and many other supports.
Yes! We have transfer agreements with every public university in the state. Please note: to be sure that your technical education credits transfer to another university, you should complete an associate degree at Snow College.
  1. Apply to Snow College at snow.edu/apply.
  2. Transfer your technical college credits; Academic Advisor Tiffanie Baker can help with this ( ude.wons@rekab.einaffit).
  3. Take your general education classes, major classes, and any additional elective classes to reach 60 total credits. Tiffanie Baker will help with this as well.
You must complete at least 15 of your 60 credits at Snow College to graduate from Snow with an associate degree.
There is no expiration date on your certificate. Whether it was completed last year or last century, we are ready to help you continue your education.
No. While we offer high-quality, face-to-face classes on the Ephraim and Richfield campuses, Snow offers a full associate degree online—again with high-quality classes taught by the same faculty. You can get your degree on your own schedule from the comfort of your own home.
Absolutely! Technical college faculty are highly skilled in the subjects they teach, and an AS degree can be a way to add additional competencies and credentials. If your expertise comes from work experience rather than something that can be seen on a transcript, we can award credit based on your teaching in a technical education program.
