Office:
Rick Rasmussen has spent his life as a resident of Sanpete county. He is a graduate of Manti High school. He married Melinda Rasmussen and together have seven wonderful children. Three of the seven are married and Rick has two beautiful grandchildren. Rick loves to hunt, fish, and camp, but most of all he loves to spend time with his family.
Rick started his career in public safety in the Department of Corrections in September of 1991. During his 24 years in Corrections, he had the opportunity to work in many different leadership capacities. Some of those positions include Lieutenant, Honor Guard commander, Firearms instructor, Emergency management leader, Sergeant, and caseworker. Rick is currently a concealed weapons instructor and loves teaching people about weapons and gun skills.
In 2015 Rick joined our Public Safety Department at Snow College. He worked for three years then decided to try retirement for a year. After Rick decided retirement wasn't for him, Rick worked as a Patrol Deputy for the Sanpete County Sheriff's office.
In August 2021, Rick rejoined our Public Safety Department here at Snow College. Rick has had a warm welcome back and is excited to be back among the staff, faculty, and students.
Thank you Snow College, I am glad to be a part of your team, Rick Rasmussen
