• Youthlinc is a Salt Lake City based organization offering student scholarships, local and international service opportunities and other resources to students and colleges.
• National Service-Learning Clearinghouse: America’s most comprehensive service-learning resource, including an extensive collection of SL course syllabi in all disciplines and across different undergraduate levels.
• Campus Compact is a national coalition of over 1,000 colleges and universities committed to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education, also offering sample syllabi by discipline.
• Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is a federal agency that engages over 5 million Americans in service through programs such as AmeriCorps, National Service Inclusion Project, MLK Day of Service, Senior Corps, the Social Innovation Fund, United We Serve, and Servimos Unidos. CNCS is the nation’s largest grantmaker for service and volunteering.
• American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) AACC’s service learning resources include curriculum tools, video training modules, discipline-specific course templates, reflection and assessment resources, publications, and links.
• Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)’s civic learning resources: partnerships, projects, initiatives, publications, and articles.
• The Democracy Commitment (TDC) “is a national initiative providing a platform for the development and expansion of community college programs, projects and curricula aiming at engaging students in civic learning and democratic practice across the country.”
• The Community College National Center for Community Engagement (CCNCCE): “advancing programs and innovations that stimulate active participation of institutions in community engagement for the attainment of a vital citizenry.”
• Youth Service America (YSA) “supports a global culture of engaged youth (age 5-25) committed to a lifetime of service, learning, leadership, and achievement.”
• Science Education for New Civic Engagement and Responsibilities (SENCER) applies the science of learning to the learning of science, all to expand civic capacity.
• IPSL programs combine academic studies, community service, and full cultural immersion to give students a deeper, more meaningful study abroad experience.
• International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) promotes “the development and dissemination of research on service-learning and community engagement internationally and across all levels of the education system.”
