Tuition Hearing Scheduled for March 13

Snow College to set next year’s tuition rates

March 2, 2019 -- Ephraim, UT – Snow College will hold its annual tuition hearing on Wednesday, March 13. There, college officials will discuss what the tuition will be for the 2019-2020 school year.

This year, tuition cost $1,663 for Utah residents and $6,073 for non-residents. Snow College prides itself on being one of the most affordable colleges in the state, and for giving students the most for their money.

Jake Dettinger, Vice President of Administrative Services, said, "We are committed to providing an accessible, affordable education to as many students as possible. We are being very thoughtful and thorough in this process."

These tuition hearings are standard for colleges. Due to inflation, it’s important to constantly evaluate tuition rates and make sure they’re best for everyone, both employees of the college and students. This year, Snow is expected to increase tuition by 0-3%. 0.22% of the increase would be used for the Internal Service Fund. 0.38% would cover advancement and tenure increases, and 2.4% would cover the college’s “portion of compensation and benefits,” according to a document provided by Snow College.

The hearing will be held in the Huntsman Library at 4:30 PM.
