Data is an important institutional asset at Snow College. To facilitate the achievement of mission fulfillment and institutional initiatives, Snow College data and its presentation is organized by the following levels. This structure assists with the democratization of Snow College data by providing clarity, consistency, and collaboration among the college's data stewards, report writers, and consumers. This effort is also supported by a Snow College Data Glossary. Snow College leverages the following tools to report and present data. This is in addition to standardized Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
LEVEL 1Cabinet level reports that are based on institutional initiatives. These reports represent aggregated data used for institutional decision-making. The data is consistent with USHE and IPEDS reporting content and are governed by USHE and IPEDS data defnitions. They are public reports that can be used for official institutional reporting to all external stakeholders. Click here for the USHE Data Dictionary. |
LEVEL 2Vice-Presidential level reports that provide operational data along institutional initiatives. These reports contain aggregated and disaggregated data to support the internal assessment of vice-presidential area goals, operations, and management. Some of these reports are public and others may require credential access. |
LEVEL 3Reports that support the day-to-day operations or activities of area directors, managers, end-user, and/or front-line employees. These reports also help maintain the college's data integrity. These reports contain detailed data which require credential access. |
