Short Term Intensive Training (STIT) is a state-funded program that offers training solutions to build workforce knowledge, skills, and ability. STIT serves individuals who need short-term training. STIT is administered by Custom Fit Training at Snow College - Richfield and Ephraim.

STIT provides

  • Professional training, utilizing qualified instructors
  • Training with start dates throughout the year
  • Tuition reimbursement

Tuition Reimbursement

The STIT program uses state funds to provide occupationally-specific training for individuals seeking to match their training needs to employment opportunities. STIT funding reimburses a percentage of the tuition for course offerings, with a general limit of $1000 or less per class.

Program Eligibility

Individuals generally need to meet one or more of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Seeking employment and need to obtain employable skills
  • Wanting to make a career change requiring upgraded skills
  • Enrolling in a course to successfully complete certification/licensure requirements

Sample Course Offerings

The types of training reimbursable by STIT are extensive and include a wide range of industries. These are some of the classes for which STIT has provide reimbursement assistance:

  • CDL Training
  • Quickbooks
  • Computer skills
  • Excel
  • Select community education classes
  • First aid
  • EMT
  • Customer Service
  • Eyelash Extensions
  • etc.

Reimbursement Instructions

To receive reimbursement for your training follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the Training Request form: For the company field enter "Snow College STIT"
  2. Your training will be reviewed and you'll receive an email with documents to sign: reimbursement agreement, W9 and ACH (direct deposit).
  3. Once the training is completed, send us proof of payment and proof of completion. Email them to cfdocs@snow.edu.
